Attached is the Professional Skill Development summer camp information slotted for Aug 17-21, 2026 at Stride Place in Portage la Prairie. 

This year they will be offering two different programs:  the first one for 7-11 year olds that is skill based focusing on skating, puck control, passing, shooting, contact confidence and goaltending, the second one for 12-16 year olds preparing them for AA or AAA tryouts with an emphasis on skills, high paced overspeed skill training, individual and team tactics plus a lot of conditioning for the up- coming season. 

Skill Development Camp

Ages:  7-11

Skills:  Power skating, puck handling, passing, shooting, contact confidence, puck protection, react/react and all goaltending skills for the goalies

Times: 8:30 – 9:30 am and 9:45 – 10:45 am

Cost:  Players $350       Goalies $175

Players:  Maximum 30 players and 4 goalies

Development:  Working with coaches with over 60 years of combined experience in hockey development from U7 up to junior, college and professional players.

AA/AAA Tryout Preparation Camp

Ages: 12-16

Skills:  All hockey skills plus individual and team tactics plus lots of high tempo drills to build speed, confidence and to challenge the aerobic/anaerobic systems for conditioning

Times:  Dryland 9:30 – 10:30 am

              On – ice 11:00 am – noon and 12:15 – 1:15 pm

Cost:     Players $375    Goalies $185

Players:  Maximum 24 players and 4 goalies

Development:  Working with coaches with over 60 years of combined experience in hockey development from U7 up to junior, college and professional players.
